Overview

Registered in Riyadh in 2019 and operating under the honorary presidency of HRH Prince Sultan bin Salman, Our Mosques on the Roads is a Saudi waqf charity that builds and maintains 100+ mosques along highways and historic routes. Its mission is deeply practical and deeply human: give travelers and pilgrims clean, welcoming places to stop, rest, and pray.

That mission has two sides. The organization invites donors to share in the reward, and it listens to the travelers who use the facilities. With Azeer, both sides run through one WhatsApp number.

The Challenge

This organization is not only fundraising. It is operating a public service. Donors need clear, timely campaigns they can act on. Travelers need a simple way to send suggestions, ask questions, or flag improvements at facilities they use on the road.

Handled separately, those two workflows can become messy. Fundraising replies, service suggestions, and operational follow-up all need different owners, but they arrive through the same familiar channel.

How The Operation Works

The waqf uses Azeer to run donation campaigns and manage inbound public feedback from one shared inbox. During Hajj season, the team sent a campaign to tens of thousands of supporters inviting them to help renew mosque carpets along the Prophet's migration route, with a direct call to donate.

Incoming messages are welcomed automatically and routed by intent. Donor and funding conversations can move toward the finance team, while traveler suggestions and service requests are organized for the people responsible for facility care.

The Impact

The organization now manages hundreds of thousands of conversations in one system. The sampled Hajj campaign reached tens of thousands of supporters, generated hundreds of donation-link clicks, and recorded a 0% opt-out rate.

That combination matters. The same WhatsApp channel can ask for support and listen to the people being served. A supporter can donate. A traveler can suggest an improvement. The team can route both without losing the human context.

For charities and waqf operators, Azeer makes WhatsApp a mission channel: fundraising, service, feedback, and operational follow-through in one accountable workspace.
